Christian?

Many people have different views about what a Christian is, however the Bible is quite clear on this point. Let us first explore what a Christian is not.

It is not simply someone who goes to church. Going to church will not make you a Christian. By the same token, going to McDonalds does not make you a cheeseburger.

It is also not only living a good life; there are a lot of good people in the world who are not Christians.

Many also believe that someone is a Christian because they live in a country with a Christian culture as opposed to a country with Muslim, Hindu or Buddhist culture.

These unfortunately are all untrue. If all of these do not make us a Christian, what does?

[Man looking at cross]

A Christian is someone who has a personal relationship with God. It is more than just simply believing that a god exists. It is a very real, active and life-saving relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

We invite you to join us anytime to learn more about what it means to have a personal relationship with God, and why it is important. Bring your tough questions and feel welcome to ask them! We also offer free courses which you may be interested in.

[Christianity Explored]

Christianity Explored is a ten week course delivered in a very similar manner to the Alpha course. The course focuses on Mark’s gospel and gives everyone the opportunity to ask whatever questions they want.

Developed over 10 years, Christianity Explored is an informal course for people who’d like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics. It explores who Jesus was, what His aims were, and what it means to follow Him.

You’re not asked to pray, sing, or read aloud, and you can ask any question you like. Or, if you prefer, you can come along and simply listen.
